PAT

We are able to provide a Portable Appliance Test (PAT) for any of your equipment at a fixed cost per item.

The advantage of using a repair centre for your electrical safety testing is that if there are any problems, we can let you know and rather than instantly “red sticker” them, you will be asked if you want us to solve the problem.

On Site Testing

We are able to offer on site testing at your facility. If this is something which may benefit you as you have a large number of items which need testing, then contact us for details.

Electrical Safety Certificate

We are able to provide a Certificate of Conformity for all the appliances tested should you require it. This will be created in electronic format and digitally signed by our representative.

“Snap in” mains connectors

We have found that many manufacturers use very cheap (and nasty) “snap in” mains connectors which eventually wear and can potentially be pulled out of your equipment just by disconnecting the mains. As you can imagine, this could be lethal and is electrically unsafe. We can solve this by installing a screw in type connector with nyloc nuts to minimise possibility of tampering.

Earth Bond

To ensure that the earth bond resistance is as low as possible we can solder the internal earthing cable directly from the earthing pin on mains inlet to the chassis connector (usually a tab bolted onto the chassis). It’s the only way to maximise the contact area and hence minimise resistance between earth and your equipment.
